I read everything everyday and I don't post much on any website. For those of you that know me, I am from Pittsburgh, born and raised. Brookline, to be a matter of fact. I watched the Pitt game tonight with twenty bucks riding on it. I have a neighbor who is in the Army and is a North Carolina fan. It was a good game, but I was excited for the future. Dion Lewis is a beast and next year he will not be stopped. Hopefully Sunserri and / or Bostick will come to play and be ready to go. Either way I am happy!!
I have been reading about the Pirates and what a disappointment. What is hard to explain is why is still read about their every move. I can't explain it, except to say that I am addicted to baseball. I want them to do well so bad just so I can say my seventeen years of losing was worth the wait. I think that growing up with baseball made me this way and there aren't too many of us left.
There are a lot of passionate Steelers fans though. Now that the Pitt game is over I can't wait for the Baltimore game tomorrow. I've been stoked since earlier today and hope they make the playoffs. I can't imagine a better scenario than the Steelers winning another SB after being a wild card. It is a little bit sad that my life revolves around sports but on the bright side i'VE already started brainwashing my children to root for Pitt and the Steelers. My three year old walks around the house singing, "here we go steelers, here we go." I'm so proud.
I had some thoughts on the Pens as well, but I've drank too much beer to make anything else relevant. I hope all had a Merry Christmas and have a happy New Year.

It's been a while since I've posted anything, mainly because I have been moving all over the world and I'm now in Germany.
I watched the Pitt - Syracuse game tonight and Pitt is very impressive. The Defensive line is ridiculously good and this Pitt team leads Div I in sacks. That awesome! I'm pretty excited about the next three games and the probability that Pitt can win out. If some of these undefeated teams start losing, like IOWA, then MAYBE Pitt has a chance for a title. I understand this is highly unlikely, but it's ok to dream, isn't it??

I have officially made my first bet of the season today. I loosely stated how badly the Steelers would destroy the Giants this week and someone in the shop took exception. Not even a Giants fan but neverless we made a bet on the game. Whoever wins buys all the beer of the winners choosing during 18 holes of golf while the ship is in Guam, the crappy Hawaii of the Western Pacific. Of course, I am very confident we will win, even with a banged up secondary. You can't pass the ball from your back, right?
I read the article today on the Post-Gazette about Rutgers outclassing PITT by Paul Zeise. I like the way Mckillop handled the question. That's why he is THE leader of this team and will be a great leader playing on Sundays. He doesn't feed fuel to the fire to get Rutgers pumped up. I will say this though. This is obviously the year that all the great recruiting classes by Wannstedt are starting to come together. There is definetly more depth at key positions, unlike when he took over the program.
Hopefully this Saturday will be the start of a 3 year run by the Panthers!!

It's funny but I had no idea you could blog on Sportsline. I don't have much time between reading the site and the post-gazette online. But I thought I would give it a try. I got to watch the first half of the Steelers game yesterday during the technical outage of the Buffalo game. We unfortuneately do not get to pick the games we watch out here at sea. I did like the way the defense played the whole game. Besides the last drive of the first half, they dominated. I always enjoy watching the Steelers beat the crap out of a divisional rival. Even if they are the 0-6 Bungles. I only get more excited when it is the Browns or Ravens. Next up for the Steelers will be the Giants. This will be a test for the defense with Plax and pretty good running game coming after them. I think, as usual, we will shut down the run and force Manning into mistakes. Ben will play a near perfect game and we will hear the commentator's repeatedly comment on who the best QB of that draft was. As if any of us football fans didn't already know it was Big Ben. Good luck to Pitt this weekend. I'm proud of those boys down in Oakland and hope they go all the way to a BCS game and a Big East Championship. I would like to see Wanny have a great season and dispel the naysayers. I like to see hometown boys do well. I will try to blog again soon whenever I have something useful to say. Have a good one and go Pittsburgh!!
